-Congratulates Nigerians
The Executive Chairman, Imota Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Benson Ayodele Sunday, has used the occasion of the 66th independence day celebration to reaffirm his administration’s commitments towards a greater council.
Hon. Benson also extending his congratulations, celebrated Nigerians resilience, unity and peaceful co -existence that have kept the country together for over six decades.
He extended his independence day felicitations in a statement on Thursday, marking the anniversary.
”Today, as Nigeria marks its 66th Independence Anniversary, we celebrate not only our freedom as a nation but also the resilience, diversity, creativity and enduring spirit of our people. It is a moment to reflect on our journey as a nation, acknowledge the challenges we have overcome, recognize the progress we have made, and renew our collective commitment to building a stronger and more prosperous Nigeria.
”As Executive Chairman of Imota Local Council Development Area, I am particularly proud to lead a community that continues to demonstrate the values that define Nigeria—resilience, unity in diversity, enterprise, creativity and an unwavering determination to overcome challenges.
”At the local level, our commitment to development is being driven through the “Hi-SEE” Transformation Agenda which places the wellbeing and aspirations of our people at the centre of governance.
”Through this agenda, we remain focused on bringing development closer to our people across critical sectors, including infrastructure, education, youth and sports development, healthcare, environmental sustainability, security, agriculture and food security, women empowerment, and poverty alleviation”.
He emphasised the vision of his administration for inclusiveness, youth development, support for women and children, and assured future for residents.
”Our vision is clear: to build an Imota LCDA where development is inclusive, opportunities are expanded, our young people are empowered, our women are supported, our communities are safer, and every resident can look towards the future with renewed hope and confidence.
”For us in Imota LCDA, the journey towards a Greater Imota remains ongoing. There may be challenges along the way, but our determination must remain stronger than the obstacles before us. With unity of purpose, responsible citizenship, collective action and unwavering faith in our community, we can continue to transform Imota LCDA and fulfil its enormous potential.
He called for support from stakeholders and residents for his administration towards the development Imota LCDA.
”I, therefore, call on all residents of Imota LCDA, both at home and in the diaspora, to join hands with the administration in advancing the development of our communities. Let us embrace our collective power to drive positive and progressive change.
